OBJECTIVES:

The CHIDREN´S LIFE-SAVOR aims to accomplish a vocational, social and educational program for the youth that face a dangerous situation of social risk, by creating productive activities, in a first moment with several raw materials chosen from the emerging market of ostrich production. The PROGRAM OE (PROGRAMA OA) could be contemplated not only by offering a better future with dignity, giving to the young people an opportunity to penetrate the job market, but could also furnish the necessary orientation in several stages of their lives regarding their physical and emotional plans, considering the social context in which they live, giving them sexual education, orientation for prevention against drugs, their citizenship rights, school reinforcement and sports activities, leisure and culture.

* The OE Program (Programa OA) includes in its ideological principles the rights defined and adopted by ECA – (Childrens´ and Youth Statute /1989).

JUSTIFICATION FOR THE NAME OF OE PROGRAM (OSTRICH EGG PROGRAM)

“An egg.
Something seemingly simple indeed that contains the explosion of a new life, making us remember that at any moment the recommencement is present before us. A part as an inheritance of other lives, another part as a new construction, by breaking the peel the individual will be ready to make history, a new action.

IN ITS SIMBOLOGY, the hope of renaissance in the hearts remain latent, always considering the purpose of going ahead human limitation and the boundaries of logic understanding. THIS IS SOMETHING UDECIPHERABLE, LIMITLESS, ITS IS EXPANSION”.

Based on solidarity, looking for efficiency in all its actions just to defend and preserve the communities´ rights, also in Brazil the Third Sector finally assumes its role as a propeller agent for a new culture, having as alternative a new “modus operandi” defying the poverty and social exclusion and sustained by the State

The Law Nr. 9790/99 distinguishes the Civil Organizations of Public Interest, whereby the public power must incorporate and recognize that only through the establishment of a non-competitive partnership, such as Petrobras, it will be possible to obtain the necessary potentiality for better benefits, with more expressive and immediate results to find out the ways and solutions to the country’s endless and increasing social problems.

As such, the reason for the existence of SALVA VIDAS MIRIM (Childrens´ Life-Savor), recognized by the Justice Ministry, is to work – within an administrative transparency, as required by law – for the improvement of the citizens´ life quality, taking actions that should demonstrate the real vocation of human being: feel happy and share of the conquered happiness.

“The right to life with the necessary ´quality of life´ is a conquest that only the practice of citizenship and solidarity could promote and preserve”.

As a NGO, all the virtues that promote the performance of SALVA VIDAS MIRIM should be included in this premise, disposed to bring its contribution for the shared and growing conquest as we understand the “human rights”, according to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, also adopted and signed by Brazil.

In its essence, respect to human being, equality and participation – elementary points that preserve and enable individual and social conquests – synthesize that inherent values and accomplishment of SALVA VIDAS MIRIM Organiztion´s objectives.

ABOUT US

SALVA VIDAS MIRIM (Children´s Life-Savor) was created in June, 2001. It is a Civil Organization of Public Interest, duly qualified and certified by the Justice Ministry of Brazil, according to guidelines of Law Nr. 9.790/99.

With its head office established in São Paulo, SALVA VIDAS MIRIM is the product of a vision and desire of Mrs. Maria Adir Chadalakian, a Brazilian manufacturer/industrialist, who aims to put in action, within the social accomplishments area, the main goals of an efficient, effective and tolerable development plan.

With a successful background in the corporate market – also identified as Second Section where she occupies the leading position in a family company of recognized knowledge, Maria Adir Chadalakian, taking over her social responsibility, as a manufacturer/industrialist and a citizen, has decided to enlarge her actuation, thus establishing the organization SALVA VIDAS MIRIM.
For this purpose, she penetrated deep in the study of the Third Section and its manifestations, in order to assure the success of her new task, choosing this as her “continuous search” commitment of efficiency and competence, by also dealing with social questions.

To enable the activities of SALVA VIDAS MIRIM, Mrs. Chadalakian invited a high ranking of professionals and personalities with strong ties to the Third Section, to compose the selected staff of this organization, as well as gathered close collaborators from several other areas of knowledge, stimulating the exchange of impressions and sharing social experiences, in order to come in terms with the appropriate pattern and to give the start-point of activities of this organization.

SALVA VIDAS MIRIM was therefore born, capable and qualified to exercise its creative capacity to face the restrictive factors and conquer the solutions that could lead to social inclusion, in all levels and segments of a citizen´s life.
