SAVE THE SEA PROGRAM

PURPOSE:

* It is an instructional activity that envisages the ecological understanding through theoretical and practical learning, as well as by actions taken directly linked to the environment.

* Presuming that it should be “measured globally, acting locally and globally, and thinking globally”, this program was developed upon the multiplication of ideas and sustainable development of environmental questions, and it is our intention to equate it, tracing some strategies that could lead us to find out adequate solutions.

JUSTIFICATIONS:

* The influence of man in the environment occurs more and more in irrational ways, with not any respect to the importance that the environment represents to human life, creating therefore serious consequences to our planet and its inhabitants. But this man that destroys and intervenes in an unsustainable way is also the only one who is able to change this situation, because he can and must act with full responsibility and develop positive actions that would induce to real equilibrium, making it possible to preserve the quality of life to this and future generations (sustainability). Therefore, our main goal is to include in our purpose the elementary principles that were adopted in the Kyoto Treaty, duly adopted and signed by the Brazilian Government in August 23, 2002.
